About Deirdre

Deirdre is a Practitioner-in-Residence in Interior Design within the Department of Art and Design. Before her role at the University of New Haven, she had practiced professionally for over twenty-five years in top Manhattan A&D firms, globally recognized top furniture manufacturers, to most recently as a Project Planner for Penn State Health. Her 黑料社 spans workplace design and Veteran Affairs government facility design planning, and healthcare design, to mentoring as an adjunct instructor for thirty consecutive years in various colleges and universities nationally. Dr. Cimino is the principal, owner, and design consultant lead of Design Onsite LLC. Giving back in the way of instruction and supporting students in design organizations has been the cornerstone in giving professional time in inspiring others for Deirdre. Additionally, Deirdre has served as the President for ASID PA chapter and the Board of Directors for the YMCA.

Dr. Cimino is a subject matter expert in mid-century modernism and the workplace. Her original research for her PhD dissertation yielded highly significant findings in trust and culture within the workplace, supporting meaningful Sense of Community.
