About Nicholas
I graduated from the University of New Haven in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science and a Minor in Physics. I then obtained my PhD from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2024. My research in graduate school focused on using a diamond anvil cell to study various materials under extreme pressure. I optimized the synthesis of the metal oxides that were studied and would like to engage students in chemistry research in solid-state chemistry! I spent 1 year as a visiting assistant professor at Bates College, teaching inorganic chemistry and doing research on metal oxide synthesis.
I am a new father and spend most of my free time with family, in the gym, and designing games. I am very excited to be returning to the University of New Haven to teach chemistry. My desk is located in Echlin 113, and I highly encourage any students needing help with chemistry to stop by!
