Our students, who achieved a 3.4 GPA at the end of the first semester, are paired with an industry mentor based on their career aspirations. The mentors are usually the alumni of our programs and are delighted to serve as a sounding board to our current students. Mentors are assigned on an annual basis, and students are encouraged to maintain regular interactions with their mentors.
Students should indicate in which graduate assistantship they are interested in their statement of purpose as part of their application to the M.S. Sport Management program. In addition to elaborating on why they are interested in the master’s program, the statement of purpose should detail the applicant’s career interests and how the graduate assistantship would serve them in preparing towards the workforce upon graduation.
Student applications will be evaluated by the M.S. Sport Management program coordinator for admission purposes. Upon positive admissions decision, resumes of the prospective graduate assistants will be sent to the Athletic Department for consideration. The Department of Athletics will invite candidates to interview and make the hiring decision.
Our faculty are leaders and innovators in their fields, bringing both deep professional ºÚÁÏÉç and academic rigor to the classroom.
